After quite a few hours during the week I have finally finished the K and F wedding slideshow video.
Wedding Slideshow Video on YouTube
The Flickr set for the Wedding
Things I have learnt / need to find out.
1) I should have taken more photos as it is quite hard to fill in a 5 1/2 minute song with only about 20 songs.
2) To help with 1), I should be more pushy and get the subjects to spend some time with me to get some good shots.
3) There is a limitation in Adobe Premiere Elements that only allows resolution images of 5000px on the longest edge. I will need to investigate to see if the full version or After Effects also have that limitation. If they do not then I will need to investigate purchasing the more advanced products in the future as Elements is ok for now.
4) I am still to work out the best render method in Premiere Elements
5) I think the video capabilities of YouTube are better than Flickr (Flickr seem to corrupt my videos).
Anyway stay tuned for the results of these issues.

My new 7D
Returning from Europe I well and truly have caught the travel as well as the photography bug
to see my photos go to
http://picasaweb.google.com/glen.adamson
I am an absolute beginner when it comes to photograph, but I feel it is time to upgrade to a DSLR from my Panasonic DMC-FT1
After many weeks of reading up on the Canon EOS DSLR series camera's the decision came down to 3 camera's.
Canon EOS 55D
Canon EOS 50D
Canon EOS 7D
As is typical of me, I wanted a really good camera to start my journey into photography, so I ended up purchasing the Canon EOS 7D with a EF-S 15-85 IS USM Lens.
I decided on the 7D as I wanted the ability to record video and that left me with the choice of the 550D or the double the price 7D. When I went to TED's camera's on pitt street and spent some time playing and getting to feel the 2 cameras it was an easy choice to go with the 7D. I ended up purchasing it from JB Hifi as they did me the best deal.
